A 6-week practical course teaching you and your dog what to do when the unexpected happens.
- Off-lead dog heading straight for you?
- Your dog suddenly grabs something they shouldn't?
- Need to get out of Dodge quickly?
- Or get your dog back to you NOW?
This is the stuff you don't want to be figuring out for the first time when it's already happening.
In-person classes in Chedburgh (Thursday Evenings), between Newmarket & Bury St Edmunds
Small Groups, Ethical, positive reinforcement training.
When an off-lead dog comes running over “Don't worry, he's friendly!” isn't much help when you don't want another dog in your dog's space.
When your dog spots it before you do
Your dog sees something. You tense. The lead tightens. What happens next?
When you need to get out of there
Another dog appears around the corner. Something ahead makes your dog uncomfortable. Or you simply decide you don't want to deal with what's coming.
When “Come!” really matters
We'll work on building a special response for those occasions when getting your dog back to you quickly matters.
When you really need them to leave it
Discarded food. Something disgusting. Something potentially unsafe.
When you don't know what's coming next In our final week we'll put the skills together with carefully controlled real-life scenarios, so you can practise deciding what to do when you haven't had time to plan for it.
Because you can't control what other people, dogs or the world around you are going to do.
But you can have a few well-practised options ready when you need them.
That's what this course is about.

Is this class right for my dog?
Ready for Anything is for adolescent and adult dogs and their humans who want practical skills for navigating everyday life together.
Your dog doesn't need to be perfectly trained.
Classes are kept small, with a maximum of five dogs, giving you plenty of space to work and individual help throughout the course.
Dogs do need to be comfortable enough around other dogs and people to be able to learn in a group environment.
We do offer this as a 1:1 and online options so you're unsure whether the class would suit your dog or you don't live locally, get in touch and we can have a chat.
